2020-21: COVID-19 - Our policies and terms

Given the nature of the continually changing landscape we find ourselves in, we have spent time reviewing our policies, supplier contracts and terms and conditions.
Our aim is to be more flexible with bookings and ultimately provide more appropriate and fair terms and conditions for the world we are currently living and operating in.

We have taken a considered approach in an effort to ensure we can offer clarity and confidence when booking with The TCC whilst maintaining our great service throughout the booking process and finally commit to fantastic winter experiences in Tignes with The TCC!

Out and about in TIGNES…

We are optimistic about winter 2020/21. Tignes has been open all summer and has been operating the lift systems for the mountain biking season meaning we have an idea of how the winter may look. The glacier was also open with snowsports/mountain enthusiasts able to make the most of the amazing summer conditions. Masks had to be worn on all lifts and the lift company (STGM) specified new maximum numbers per lift.

Once on the mountain (and around town), restaurants, bars and public spaces were open and were adhering to all government guidance and regulations with regards to COVID-19.

(Current guidelines are to wear a mask in all indoor public places and to maintain social distancing rules, restaurant have tables spaced 1m or more apart with a maximum of 10 people per table.)

In our CHALETS…

We hope our revised cleaning programme coupled with implementation of up-to-date government guidance delivered by our great team will enable you to relax and enjoy a safe stay in our chalets over winter 2020/21.
(We have outlined our concepts below, however as we have previously referenced this is a continually evolving situation, but you can be confident our team will be adhering to all current guidelines and best practices at the time of your stay.)

Our team will be provided with COVID-19 specific training along with all appropriate PPE to ensure they deliver our great product in a safe and professional way. They will be regularly monitored and in the event they show any symptoms of COVID-19 they will be quarantined for the appropriate time and where required tested before they return to work.

There will be enhanced cleaning in line with industry standards; daily cleaning/disinfection of ‘high traffic’ areas and touch points along with increased ventilation/airflow, weekly ‘deep’ clean of the chalet to a high standard including further disinfection and increased ventilation in the chalet.

There will be alcohol hand sanitiser available in chalets.

COVID-19 Terms and Conditions amended clauses:

Lifpasses

We can confirm any lift passes purchased will be refunded in FULL for any cancelled chalet bookings up to 48 hours before travel. For lift passes purchased and then cancelled during your time in Tignes, we can make a refund request to the STGM however refunds are at their discretion.

Financial Protection

Although The TCC have been operating for over 12 years, we are very aware of the challenges facing the travel industry. As in previous years all our accommodation bookings are covered by ABTA for financial failure.
This in simple terms means if The TCC were to go into administration you would be able to recuperate any outstanding monies via ABTA.
